About Us
In August of 2006, Red Sox rookie Jon Lester was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. Four Boston-area college students, Amanda Davis of Northeastern University, Christine Yandow of Emmanuel College, Kayte Eddy of Fisher College and Casey Lennon of Framingham State College were deeply touched by this diagnosis. The Red Sox are very involved with the Jimmy Fund, a foundation that raises money for children with all forms of cancer. On September 4th, 2006, the girls decided to make silicone awareness bracelets in honor of Jon and his fight to beat cancer. With the money raised from the sale of the bracelets, a donation is being made to The Jimmy Fund in Jon's name. We are NOT profiting from the sale of these bracelets, 6 dollars of the 6 dollar total goes directly to The Jimmy Fund.
